Plustive is operated by Plustive Impact Communication Limited, a company based in Lagos, Nigeria. We are a telco aggregator and business-to-business developer API: one REST API and one prepaid wallet to buy and resell digital top-ups and bill payments across the country.
What we do
Through a single integration you can sell data bundles and airtime across MTN, Glo, Airtel and 9mobile, and pay everyday bills — electricity (with the prepaid token returned on the response), cable TV, education result-checker PINs and broadband. It is one API key, one prepaid wallet and one response shape across every product, so adding a network or biller is a change of a field, not a new integration.
Who it’s for
Plustive is built for developers and businesses building VTU and bill-payment products — fintech wallets, reseller platforms, school and cybercafé tools, and any app that needs to put airtime, data or bill payments in front of Nigerian customers. We deliberately stay an infrastructure layer: you own the customer experience and your own margin, and we handle fulfilment.
How we think about it
Money software has to be correct before it is anything else, so our defaults are built around that. Every purchase is idempotent on a clientReference you supply, which means retrying after a timeout returns the original result instead of charging twice. All amounts are integer kobo, so values stay exact with no floating-point rounding. Ambiguous transactions are reconciled automatically to a terminal state, and anything that fails to deliver is refunded to your wallet to the kobo — you are never left paying for a top-up that did not arrive.
Funding is just as deliberate: you top up a prepaid wallet by bank transfer to a dedicated account number that credits automatically, so there is no per-transaction card charge and your spend is capped by your funded balance. The result is an API you can build real volume on without surprises in the ledger.
